Why Madeira Remote?
Madeira Remote is a coliving service run by Madeira Friends. Last year, Madeira Friends welcomed thousands of remote workers, hosted over 400 events, and built one of the world’s most vibrant international communities (we might be a little biased). Now, we’re bringing all that experience into a unique, supportive, and community-first Madeira coliving experience.
Based in Funchal, Madeira, we provide long- and short-term coliving experiences for remote professionals, digital nomads, and creative entrepreneurs. Our goal is to combine comfortable living spaces with meaningful community — the true spirit of Madeira coliving.

Marelin & Luis - Founders of Madeira Friends
The heart and soul of the Madeira Friends community. You’ll meet them at workouts, events, community lunches, and around town—always making sure everyone feels welcome and at home on the island.
Eli - Community Project Manager
Once a digital nomad, Eli now calls Madeira home. She manages Madeira Remote, ensures guests are supported from arrival to departure and brings the community together.
Lily - Concierge Support
Raised in Madeira, Lily is your go-to person for local questions and help. Whether you need a tip for a local restaurant or help communicating in Portuguese, she’s here to support your stay.
Lulu - Host
Lulu takes care of the coliving house with heart. From housekeeping to making sure guests are comfortable, she’s a friendly face always ready to help with anything house-related.
